Marimekko for Target

For the release of the Marimekko for Target collection we took over the High Line for four days. With huge Marimekko patterned inflatable structures and playful activations we brought out the child in anyone who passed by.

For one of the activations I turned the Marimekko Apelsinii pattern into a musical soundboard. We tricked visitors into playing by hiding pressure pads underneath the orange slices. Stepping on an orange slice triggered a unique sound, and encouraged the visitor to explore the floor further. With multiple visitors triggering sounds they created music together, and in almost every occasion ended up dancing.
